About The Highlands School
The Highlands School is an AIMS-accredited school that specializes in educating students with learning differences and achievement gaps. Founded in 1996, The Highlands School was originally located in Street, Maryland. In 2007, The Highlands School moved to a beautiful 18-acre campus in Bel Air, Maryland that was once home to the Preakness-winning racehorse Deputed Testamony.

Summer at Highlands starts June 17th!
The Highlands School camps serve rising 1st to 12th graders.
Mind Jump is Highlands’ signature 5-week academic program.
Mind Jump helps students gain confidence by getting a jump start on the school year. Mind Jump includes small groups of 2-3 children and a structured, sequential, individualized instruction tailored to each child’s unique learning style.
During Mind Jump students focus on:
• Reading Comprehension
• Written Expression
• Multisensory Phonics
• Hands-on Math
• Fun, engaging activities
Highlands also offers afternoon camps after Mind Jump is over for the day. These camps are open to all children, even if they don’t partake in Mind Jump.

Week 1: GoApeFit Sports Camp, Hip-Hop Dance
Week 2: Growing Greater: Agriculture & Horticulture
Week 3: Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies
Week 4: Sports Camp, Musical Theater Camp (week one)
Week 5: STEM, Musical Theater Camp (week two)
Week 6 (For rising 7th and 8th graders only) HSPT Prep, Jump Start Math
